She is Jireh, she was an athletic girl, brilliant student and always happy. On April of 2023 mom received a call from school because Jireh collapsed in de middle of her class. They rushed her to the hospital and after several tests they told them she was anemic. They put her on a treatment but symptoms worsened. On may she developed a rash on her face and body. Doctors told her it was anemia, but on July of that year she is started with breathing troubles and rush to the hospital again. They made some x rays and found her lungs were bleeding , they immediately admitted her. At first they thought it was leukemia but later they came with a definitive diagnosis, she had lupus. Its a desease where the inmune system attacks healthy tissue in the body, they found out lupus had already damaged her lungs, heart, liver, splint , part of her intestines and her kidneys were in stage 3 of kidney failure, and she started with dialysis. She was moved to intensive care unit. They talked about a kidney transplant They tried several treatments and nothing seemed to work so she qualified to go to Mexico city and get a biologic medication called Rituximab,IMSS, the public health service in Mexico covered all the expenses. It worked, they knocked out lupus and she started to improve , she no longer needed a kidney transplant. Praise God. They returned to their home in Merida. Its been six months since they administered that medication and its time for her to get another round to keep the desease under control and avoid further damage of her organs. Rituximab cost is 1,300 dls each injection, 24.000 pesos, in Merida its imposible for her to get the medication, they do not have it in the public hospitals . But if she can make it to Mexico City, the IMSS over there is giving the treatment at no cost.

All that she need to get there is some kind and compassionate hearts willing to save a life, a very young life with a lot of dreams and life to live. My name is Angelica , I am just the friend of a mom that would give her life if possible in exchange for her daughters life. I am the friend of a mom that does not know what else to do to save her child’s life. If she was able to take her place she would do it without any hesitation. We”re relaying in our God to touch hearts that are able to donate any amount and give this little girl a ride to life. She will never forget .

Ella es Jireh, era una chica atlética, una estudiante brillante y siempre feliz. En abril de 2023, su madre recibió una llamada del colegio porque Jireh se había desmayado en mitad de una clase. La llevaron rápidamente al hospital y, tras varias pruebas, les dijeron que tenía anemia. Le recetaron un tratamiento, pero los síntomas empeoraron. En mayo le salió un sarpullido en la cara y el cuerpo. Los médicos le dijeron que era anemia, pero en julio de ese año empezó a tener problemas para respirar y volvieron a llevarla al hospital. Le hicieron unas radiografías y le encontraron derrame en los pulmones, por lo que la ingresaron inmediatamente. Al principio pensaron que era leucemia, pero más tarde llegaron a un diagnóstico definitivo: tenía lupus. Es una enfermedad en la que el sistema inmunológico ataca los tejidos sanos del cuerpo. Descubrieron que el lupus ya le había dañado los pulmones, el corazón, el hígado, el bazo, parte de los intestinos y los riñones, que se encontraban en fase 3 de insuficiencia renal, por lo que comenzó con diálisis. La trasladaron a la unidad de cuidados intensivos. Hablaron de un trasplante de riñón. Probaron varios tratamientos y nada parecía funcionar, por lo que se le concedió ir a Ciudad de México para recibir un medicamento biológico llamado Rituximab. El IMSS, el servicio público de salud de México, cubrió todos los gastos. Funcionó, controlaron el lupus y evitaron que siguiera dañando sus organos , ella comenzó a mejorar, ya no necesitaba un trasplante de riñón. Regresaron a su casa en Mérida. Han pasado seis meses desde que le administraron ese medicamento Y es hora de que reciba otra ronda de tratamiento para mantener la enfermedad bajo control y evitar daños mayores en sus órganos. El costo del rituximab es de 1300 dólares por inyección, 24 000 pesos, y en Mérida le es imposible conseguir el medicamento, ya que no lo tienen en los hospitales públicos. Pero si puede llegar a la Ciudad de México, el IMSS le proporcionará el tratamiento sin costo alguno.

Todo lo que necesita para llegar allí es encontrar corazones bondadosos y compasivos dispuestos a salvar una vida, una vida muy joven con muchos sueños y mucho por vivir. Mi nombre es Angélica, solo soy la amiga de una madre que daría su vida si fuera posible a cambio de la vida de su hija. Soy la amiga de una madre que no sabe qué más hacer para salvar la vida de su hija. Si pudiera ella ocupar su lugar, lo haría sin dudarlo. Confiamos en que Dios toque los corazones de quienes puedan donar cualquier cantidad y darle a esta niña un ride a la vida. Ella nunca lo olvidará .
