Anthony Galindo is an alum of San Diego High’s School of Business. He graduated almost ten years ago, and we’ve been Facebook friends for about half of that time. He’s one of those rare students who circle back a few years after they graduate to thank you for sticking with them, and offer an apology for, as he put it, “being a pain in the behind.”
We’d messaged periodically over the past several years, and kept in touch with each other by watching each other’s timelines. His posts were largely Padre-centric, as he’s been an avid fan his whole life. He married the love of his life, Nadalyn, and they’d been trying to start a family.
Last week, Anthony lost his Nadalyn, who was pregnant with their first child. She had been hospitalized for over a week with a case of pneumonia, and they lost the baby. The next evening, Nadalyn passed due to complications from the miscarriage.
Anthony is surrounded by a large, loving family, and he’s doing his best to process this unimaginable loss.
As his friend, and former principal, I asked if I could spearhead this effort to raise money for him to give Nadalyn a final resting place. Neither he, nor her family can afford to do so, and have chosen to have her earthly remains cremated. He would like to secure a burial plot for his wife, and a headstone to honor her memory. Any additional funds will be used to help Anthony.
