Our family is heartbroken as we share the passing of our beloved father, Sammy Edwards. He was a man known for his strength of character, kindness, and dedication to the people around him. To us he was a loving father and role model, but to many others he was a trusted friend, mentor, and someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Sammy proudly served our country as a Vietnam veteran, answering the call during a difficult time in our nation’s history. His service reflected the courage and sense of duty that defined his life. Like many veterans, he carried those experiences with humility and strength, and the values of discipline, loyalty, and perseverance stayed with him for the rest of his life.

After his military service, Sammy continued contributing to our country through his work as a civil engineer at Edwards Air Force Base.
