Our family is experiencing one of the most heartbreaking moments of our lives.
Our beloved Miguel Gomez, known to those closest to him as “Papi,” recently suffered a severe heart attack that left him without oxygen for an extended period while doctors worked desperately to save him. Despite their efforts, Miguel suffered severe brain damage, and our family has had to make the incredibly difficult decision to withdraw life support.
Miguel was 71 years old and lived a life centered around family and unconditional love. To us, he was more than a father or grandfather—he was our Papi, the person who showed up when we needed him, the one who reminded us that family always comes first.
Right now, our focus is on honoring his wishes with a simple cremation and memorial, so the people who loved him can gather to celebrate his life and say goodbye.
The immediate cremation and final arrangements are expected to cost around $2,000, and we are hoping to raise $2,500 to help cover these expenses and a small memorial for family and friends.
During times like this, the kindness of others means more than words can express.
If you are able to help—even with a small contribution—it will go directly toward giving Papi the respectful farewell he deserves.
And if donating isn't possible, sharing this page would mean just as much to our family.
Thank you for helping us honor Miguel’s life and the love he gave so freely to everyone around him.
With gratitude,
The Gomez Family
