I AM DESTROYED PLEASE HELP! You can plan for the worst but who really "plans" to lose your child and your parent. I am a woman who has been living out a person's worst nightmare. After being an innocent bystander to a shooting while 8 months pregnant, my son was born with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy causing him to ultimately lose his life 5 months after a traumatic delivery. I forced myself to relearn to walk again for my children. I immediately regained enough strength to go back to doing what I love and that is working with people. But was deemed as physically disabled. My mom was my biggest supporter her deep charismatic words of wisdom would carry me a long way. 9 months after the death of our child my partner of 13 years became diagnosed with a very rare aggressive form of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Immediately he underwent the Stem Cell Treatment and was forced to step down as a Chef at UNC Hospital. Upon being in the hospital he still attended the community college online for Business Management. He rang the bell on June 27, 2021. It seems like we've been able to make it through just about anything we haven't. The road of resilience has gotten harder to walk. On July 30th I was notified that my mom was in the hospital and was not doing well. We left home to be by her side as she was always by mine. She was transitioned over to Hospice shortly after at the age of 46 due to an unforseen and completely unexpected aggressive liver decomposition that ultimately claimed her life on Aug 20th, 2025. I AM DESTROYED! I have absolutely no way of figuring out what to do next. I was receiving disability but it was taken due to issues with the government and I have not received anything in 3 months. As I stated I never left Mom's side so I became behind on my rent and lights. Once my mom passed I took everything in my savings to lay her to rest. Now my family is facing eviction and sleeping in our car with numerous health problems. I have always been a woman who can figure it out in an a high stress event, however by it being my own situation I'm not ashamed to admit I have fallen and need help. I was the backbone of the family my mom was the glue.
