Hello friends and family
With a full heart, I’m reaching out to ask for community support.
Over the past two years, I’ve navigated life-threatening medical issues that led to being hospitalized twice, a brutal sexual assault that occurred 6 mo.ago, and a recent loss of income. And now I unexpectedly lost my car.
As frustrating as that is, I’m choosing to be grateful for what I do have, and focus on solutions. Which is why I am here asking for your help raising funds for a truck that’s being held for me at $5k.
Over the past year I’ve privately helped organize support for families in need to prevent them from being homeless during the raids, and I spend time every week for many years feeding our homeless neighbors. Being able to do that work has always meant a lot to me, and I hope to be mobile soon so I can continue it.. A reliable vehicle is also just very essential for me to get to my various jobs and for ongoing medical/health appointments related to my SA, PCOS, endometriosis, and follow-up care after a recent ovarian procedure.
To be honest I just thought I'd get a bike and figure this out over time. But when I shared what happened, so many of you asked how you could support me. So I’m choosing to receive that and feel insane gratitude for it. And if you know me, you know I’ve always found creative ways to solve impossible life challenges on my own. I’ve worked multiple jobs, started businesses from nothing (like house cleaning and scrubbing toilets at age 19 to make rent on top of my 3 jobs), and pushed through some incredibly hard seasons recently. Asking for help is not something I do lightly at all.
Every contribution, large or small, helps me move toward stability, mobility, and the ability to keep working and caring for my health.
If you’re not able to donate, sharing this means just as much to me.
Thank you for being part of my life and my community. I’m deeply grateful.
(also I am gifting you some wise words *see 1st pic* from 10 yo me that I wrote in a mental health facility I was submitted to because I need to remember her wisdom rn & those are straight bars).
