College Thesis Film: Physical Vibrations
Donation protected
In the last semester of my Bachelor's program, I am required to work on a Thesis. Since my major is in Acting for Film, I must… well, Act in a Film. However, what is so special about this performance is that I am also a Writer and Producer of the film.
While studying at New York Film Academy I have taken a plethora of courses on Acting and Character Development, but also Writing and Film Strategy, Business, and Distribution. This final project will be the accumulation of everything that I have learned in the past 3 years. It's also a moment to talk and start a conversation about something that's very important to me. This process has been difficult and long coming, but I know that in the end, it will be so worth the time, effort, and money spent into making it.
While I’ve been studying at New York Film Academy, I have met so many wonderfully talented individuals from all different aspects of filmmaking. Talented directors and cinematography students, editors and producers along with actors. One of my goals is to become successful and famous with the people that are around me. The team that I have put together for “Physical Vibrations” are people that I hope to work with for the rest of my life, which is a really exciting feeling as if I'm one step closer to realizing that goal.
Our production date is set in Late July. My thesis will be graded at the end of September. Also, the premier of "Physical Vibrations" is in the Warner Brothers Studios! The next steps for the short film is to put it in film festivals and try and get some recognition and get my face and voice seen out in the world.
I want to thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope that if you are capable, that you can help me by financially support this project. It is expensive to make a movie, even a short one. In order to be transparent, here is an itemized list of expenses, a.k.a where and what your lovely donations are going towards.
$1500 location (after scouting locations)
$25 Student Film permit
Insurance (for the car on Set) $100
TECH: 2 Hard Drives $200
$100 in transportation
$150 sound
3 Actors/11 crew: AD, Director, AC, Gaffer, Grip, Makeup, Producer/UPM, Script Supervisor, Production Design, 2 PA’s=$280 Food/Crafty ($20/person)
$150 Sound Mixing/Editing
Total: $2,500
We have the option to also pay for the equipment from a film wearhouse (camera, lights, ect.), or use my schools equipment for free. In order to save money, am using the equipment of the school along with donations of wonderful people I know! Whatever money we do not raise here on GoFundMe, will come straight out of my pocket, so I can not explain in words just how grateful I am for any and every dollar! I hope to return your generosity with a well crafted, well-loved production.
