A Raye of Sunshine was taken from us too soon

It is with great sadness and shock that over this past Holiday Season, Raymonde Elder was tragically taken from her family and friends.

Raye could fill a room with sunshine as soon as she walked in, was known to always put others before herself and had a strong love of family, always keeping in touch with those near and far.

Raye was a member of the Victoria Scottish Women's soccer team as a valued teammate for many years. Raye played alongside her sister Denise and sister-in-law Lori. While being a feisty and competitive player on the pitch, Raye was a kind and generous soul off the pitch. She could often be seen laughing with her fellow teammates about some antics that occurred during the game. When Raye wasn't playing on her team she was often a spectator along with her mother watching her brother Alex play on one of his many teams.

Fraser and Kerri, on behalf of the Victoria Scottish Soccer community, have started this Go Fund Me to assist Denise McEwen, Alex McEwen and their family in covering the costs with the passing of their beloved sister, Raye.

Raye will be sadly missed by family, friends, teammates, co-workers, clients and neighbours.
