A Rare Fight for Norman: Urgent Help Needed for Adrenal Cancer Battle
The Story of Norman: Our Resilient 10-Year-Old Fighter
Norman is more than just a cat; he is a beloved 10-year-old family member. Recently, our lives were turned upside down when an emergency visit and subsequent abdominal ultrasound revealed a devastating diagnosis: a right adrenal tumor. This type of tumor is exceptionally rare and aggressive in cats.
A Devastating Surgery & A Long Road Ahead
To give Norman the best chance, we chose to pursue a complex and risky surgery at a specialty hospital. We had hoped to remove the tumor, but the highly skilled surgical team discovered the cancer had unfortunately spread and was invading his Vena Cava (a major vein). Even the top specialists could not safely remove the entire mass.
Norman is currently recovering from this intensive procedure, showing incredible resilience and stability post-operation. But the fight is far from over. With the remaining tumor, Norman is at risk of sudden, deadly complications.
The Financial Burden of Specialty Care
Norman is receiving care from one of the best veterinary hospitals, giving him access to life-saving expertise. However, this level of specialty care brings a significant financial burden. The initial hospitalization and surgery costs have already been overwhelming, and the path forward is still expensive.
Depending on the oncologist's recommendations, Norman could require further specialized treatments, including chemotherapy, radiation, and frequent high-tech scans to monitor his rare condition.
We are humbly asking for help to raise $15,000. This goal will directly cover:
