A pup’s Best Friend’s Chemo Treatment

Hi friends and family. We are writing this on behalf of a friend of mine that has been a big part of the doggo community. Pictured above is our Great Dane / Furbaby that she takes care of. 

We are starting a GoFundMe page to help with medical and financial aid. She was recently diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer for the second time in just about than two years.

She received the diagnosis a couple of weeks ago and the initial findings show that she needs to do another round of Chemo after beating this cancer for the first time in January of 2021. At that time, her treatment lasted 10 months before being given the ”all clear.”

Sadly, various forms of cancer runs in her family. She is 47, but lost her mother to ovarian cancer on Thanksgiving Day in 2006. Her father also passed away in 2008 due to lung cancer and her sister left her too soon from heart disease in 2014.

My friend’s insurance has an Out-of-Pocket Max of $12,000. The last time she battled cancer and won it took almost a year to meet her Max and this upcoming treatment may be in the same ballpark as before depending on how her body reacts to the treatment.
