A Puppet Short Film: The Human Under the Bed
Donation protected
"The Human Under the Bed" is a short film about a little monster who's afraid of a human under their bed. It's a student film I was able to shoot with funding here, and I need your help to get it finished!
The film is a family-friendly, dialogue-heavy comedy with a featured puppet performance. AJ, a young monster, is tucked into bed. When AJ discovers there might be a human under their bed, they become frightened. Investigating, AJ finds the human, a young man in an ill-fitting suit with a briefcase. But this human doesn’t seem as scary as AJ thought he would be, and the two start talking. While they have very different perspectives, they might not be as different as they seem.
We're currently in post-production on the film. The film has been shot, and we've reached picture lock on the edit. Now we just need the funds to cover post-production costs, like music, colour grading, and festival touring. This is my second time directing a full crew shoot at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. So if you’d like to chip in and support the project, however much you donate, it’ll be very much appreciated, and it’ll help us to make this movie as good as it can be. Thank you!
