A proper headstone for Christopher Andre Vialva

Donation protected
Christopher Vialva was executed on September 24, 2020 at the age of 40, after spending 21 years in prison for a crime committed at the age of 19 while his mother watched from a window.  While Christopher was guilty of the crimes he was charged with, he underwent a transformation in prison and was a truly reformed and redeemed man at his death. He was described by those on death row as the light in the darkness, the hope in a hopeless place. At his death, he was ready to go home to the father, and he prayed with his last words for God to heal the hearts of his victims' family....a prayer that was answered when Georgia Bagley expressed her forgiveness for both Chris and Brandon Bernard after Brandon was executed in December.

Christopher's mother, Lisa, never stopped loving her son.  Because of this she never gave up on his soul and was instrumental in leading him to salvation. After enduring the most painful experience a mother could ever imagine--watching her son killed strapped to a gurney in front of her eyes, she managed the strength to minister to the remaining men on federal death row awaiting the same fate as her son and helped their families prepare for what she went through. Now she needs our help.

Christopher's grave currently has a temporary headstone, and she is hoping to place a permanent headstone at his grave for his birthday on May 10 this year. To do that, she needs to come up with at least $1700 by the end of this month in order to have the stone created and the entire $3444 between now and May 1. Lisa is a disabled veteran who has spent her entire working life in civil service. She has spent her entire retired life ministering to others and helping those she can. It's time we thank her for her heart, her service, and her strength to help others even while in pain herself.  Please consider donating to help her out as this cause is near and dear to my heart.

Lisa is working to raise and save the money herself, but she's already lost so much, the least we can do is try to support her in her quest to honor her son.  Here is how she describes the headstone she hopes to be built--which will also be her headstone when she joins her son to go home with the Father:

"I worked with the company representative for 4.5 hours to design this headstone for my son's grave which will become mine too when I pass. I wanted us to be together as we wait for the Father to take us home to be with him. It came out perfect. The stone will be off-set and the vase with the menorah will be on Christopher's side of the stone. The oval in the stone is where the ceramic photo of us will be placed. The background on our photo will be changed to the sunset like in the example. I am hoping to have the money to order it by the 1st week of March so that it can be placed on his grave by his birthday in May. I miss you son!"

I know it's hard for some people to empathize with those who kill, but anyone can empathize with a mother forced to watch her child die. The love of a mother for her child is unbreakable and unconditional. Let's lift up and support Lisa as she continues to live in gratitude and in faith every day in an inspiration to all who know her.

Learn more about her and her son in this moving video in which she found the bravery to speak to the media the morning he was killed. She is an innocent victim of this system.

Thank you for your support--every little bit helps.

Yours in the struggle,
