A Project for Peyton

My name is Nicole and I am a very good friend of Maria and Anthony Traverso. Maria and I met at P.S. 18 years ago and we have been best friends since. I have known Anthony for over 10 years and we were friends before I met Maria. I am also the lucky one who made them meet and eventually start a family.

Their daughter, Peyton Shea, was unfortunately born with a large hole in her heart. Peyton requires open heart surgery to repair the hole. Because of the large hole, Peyton cannot eat regularly and a feeding tube was placed to help her gain weight. Peyton is currently at NYU hospital where she is scheduled to have surgery later this week. Maria has spent a majority of her time in the hospital with Peyton over the past three weeks while Anthony commutes back and forth so he can still work to provide income and benefits for them all.

I have seen how difficult this is on them. Many people have reached out asking how they can help and support them so I figured I could create this gofundme to alleviate expenses they have accrued due to parking, travel, food, copay etc.

This project was not asked from them, but I would like to try to help make this difficult time a bit less stressful for them. I know they will appreciate anyone who is thinking of them and saying prayers for Peyton during this time.
