A Prayer & Miracle for a Man of Valor
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kelly Lewis. Our family desperately needs your help! On behalf of the Harris family we are asking for your prayers and support. My sister Keri is currently watching her husband and life long partner of 20+ years fight for his life.
After 20 years of service to his country as a US Marine, Floyd honorably retired in 2014 after serving multiple tours in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Floyd is a God fearing man with a heart of gold; he would do anything for anyone. He’s a dedicated father and devoted husband that adores his wife and loves his family. He loves life, loves music, dancing, and he truly enjoys being around people. He’s well loved by everyone that knows him.
On July 28th, 2020, Floyd was involved in a catastrophic auto accident where he suffered numerous injuries. Months of physical therapy and surgeries left him feeling extremely depressed, but eager to return to work to support his family. Approximately one year following the MVA (July 2021), Floyd went to his primary doctor to obtain the clearance needed to return to work. Shockingly, his clearance was denied due to irregularities with his bloodwork. He was told he needed to follow up with a Gastroenterologist.
On August 6th, 2021 Floyd was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. After various tests and scans, he found out that the cancer was not isolated to his prostate; it metastasized to his bones (Stage IV). His oncology team advised that he needed to start chemotherapy immediately. After 6 cycles of chemotherapy treatment and 4 months later, on 12/23/2021 he rang the bell as being cancer free and was in remission.
On 11/28/2022 (Floyd’s birthday), his wife received a call from his Oncologist stating that the cancer is back; bloodwork revealed PSA is on the rise. One week later, Keri received another phone call stating that the cancer is much more aggressive than before. The Oncologist told her that his prognosis is about 12-13 months with treatment.
As of December 2022 to current, Floyd has been hospitalized several times, and as of today is still in the hospital. Per his latest CT, the cancer has now metastasized to his lungs and liver. As the Harris family comes to terms with this heart-wrenching prognosis, they are struggling to create some loving and lifelong memories with their children.
This GoFundMe page is created to help the Harris family fulfill his last wishes (Holistic treatment in Mexico, trip to Belize to visit his sister’s grave, as well as helping with any additional expenses).
Your continued prayers, love and support during this difficult time will be greatly appreciated. We thank you in advance for your assistance.
