A prayer filled and peaceful farewell to Goldie Caufield

Dear Family & friends of Goldie, Christapher Caufield /aka Eugene Christapher Anderson, it is in God‘s time that we must inform you all that Goldie has returned to The Creator! (From God we come, to God we shall return), amen.

Goldie, a loving brother, uncle, and good friend to those who were blessed to know him, has always been one who kept God at the forefront of his heart, his mind, and in his relationships. Before his passing, Goldie spent every day praying, talking about God, and sharing his thoughts and feelings with three of his siblings, Umar, aka Richard, Karima, and Sakinah. Although we knew that he wasn’t well from his expressed words, we were not aware of the seriousness of what he was going through. We assume he did not have the desire or know how to impart his fate to us. He clearly wanted his last days to be filled with prayer, the offering and asking in prayer for forgiveness, amen. However, his distant living and the merciful accident of time did not allow Goldie to inform us of arrangements he may have made for his transitioning. As far as we know, he did not have a Living Will in place. With that being said, we are asking family and friends to give whatever Almighty God puts on our hearts ❤️, on behalf of our family, to make the physical aspect of his transitioning possible. Goldie expressed, in general, a desire to be buried in the state that freed him from mental and physical pain and allowed him to come into his chosen name, the peace of mind, and contentment of heart that he found in Los Angeles, California.
