Pounds for Peppers Paws

Pepper has had the most horrendous life and just when she had finally found her forever home and a family to love her, she’s now in a situation where she might not live to finally enjoy just being a dog.

Pepper is an ex racing Greyhound and after being worked to oblivion on the track they just threw her away. She somehow ended up on a travellers site in the UK and was chained to a post outside for years. She was starved and beaten and left outside in all weathers with no food or water.

The situation was so bad that there were dogs that had died on the floor chained up around her.

A very lovely woman called Jo saved poor Pepper from the site and we said we would take her in.

We loved her as soon as we saw her, she is the sweetest most loving dog we’ve ever met and despite all her trauma, she still has so much love in her soul.

Just as she was starting to settle into her forever home, Pepper went for a walk on our local beach for the first time in her life. With all the excitement of her new family she took off in full greyhound mode but because of malnutrition and a lifetime of abuse she fell and broke BOTH HER FRONT PAWS.

We love this little girl already and we’re determined not to let her down as so many other humans have.

We desperately need to raise funds to cover her surgery on both front legs.

it’s a very complex operation but we will do whatever it takes. Shes only 6 years old and has so much life to live.

we want the next 6 years to be the best for this wonderful little girl.

When she came to us, she didn’t even have a name. We called her Pepper because it struck us immediately how much Pep she still had in her step in spite of all her previous pain.
