A POSSIBLE NEW HOME FOR THE CONSEJO & FAMILY

Hello Everyone:

I hope this message finds you all well. As you know, back on June 13th we had a fire in the garage that seriously impacted our ability to serve the community and do ebos.

We made herculean efforts to maintain continuity moving most of the Orisas to be able to continue operating at the farm. In the meantime, most of you know that we have been in a back-and-forth battle with the landlord here who in August informed us that he wanted to reoccupy the house. This put me on an exhaustive search for a new home for both the family and our religious practice. As many of you know pricing in the market for a 3 + bedroom with garage with enough privacy and yet not so removed from the current GTA community is very high. After 2 months and over 30 houses viewed and 2000 houses searched we believe we found a place that although pricy ($3,599.00) we can make work for the religious practice and that has received approval from Ifa. The house is located at 11100 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, Ontario.

I am making this appeal to the community to see if we could raise at least the funds to cover the premium we need to pay to have the space to run the religious activities and do Ebos, ceremonies and the like. This would involve the land, the garage and 2 rooms in the house. The area this represents is about 35 % of the home and thereby the rent or $1269.65/month or $15,235.80 a year. The purpose of this fundraiser is to assist with the cash flow to help bridge the gap between the portion of the first and last month's deposit based on the percentage above, as well as moving costs. Thereby looking to raise $5500.00. Time is unfortunately of the essence as we would need to provide the deposit within 24 hours of their acceptance of the offer. We plan to put an offer in this evening. We are going to take one more look at the property if we can this afternoon.
