A Plea for Help: In Loving Memory of Jim Tobin

With a heavy heart and a deep sense of loss, we announce that Jim Tobin, husband of Pam Tobin passed away suddenly on January 17, 2025, from a major cardiac event just six days before his 70th birthday. His sudden and unexpected death has left his wife, family, and the countless animals he loved and cared for in a state of shock and despair.

For over 43 years, Jim and Pam worked side by side, not only as life partners but as a united force in their shared passion for helping animals together. They ran a dog rescue and dedicated their lives to saving abused, abandoned, and unwanted dogs—many of which were saved from euthanasia. Jim’s love for animals was unparalleled, and he devoted countless hours, energy, and financial resources to ensure these creatures had a chance at life. The same dedication he showed to animals extended to his family, friends, and anyone in need. Jim was always the first to lend a helping hand, offering support to those who needed it, whether on two legs or four. His kindness, compassion, and willingness to help others defined him, and he truly left a lasting mark on the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Now, with his sudden passing, Pam is left in an incredibly difficult situation. Jim's absence leaves an insurmountable void that cannot be filled, and the financial stability she faithfully relied on is no longer there. The rescue operation they built together is now at risk. There are still animals that need care and attention, and Pam is struggling to manage not only her own grief but also the logistics of continuing the work that Jim was so passionately dedicated to.
