A Plaque In Goathland In Memory Of Ian John Hart

Hi everyone. My name is Lucy, Im fundraising for my dad - Ian John Hart.

My Dad Ian was known and loved by so many. He loved music - one of his favourite singers being Gary Numan. He enjoyed going to concerts, he had been to so many. He also loved his model railway and doing models. Another love of his was driving, which he done most of his life, whether it be bus, coach or most recently HGV. Not forgetting he also loved trains and planes, which he also could fly. Many that knew him also knew how much he adored and loved spending time with his family. Whenever he was around there was always laughs, jokes and a prank or two. He was one of a kind.

Sadly on the 28th December 2024 he was taken from us at the age of 59 years old and left us all heartbroken. He was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, he fought for a year and was so very brave. He will forever be my hero.

I've opened this fundraiser as im in the process of getting a plaque made with Goathland Parish Council to be put on a bench in Goathland, this at the cost of £500. Goathland was Dads favourite place, Ive been on holidays with Dad there since I was a toddler, till more recently his last birthday was spent there (his 59th). This was his last visit which he enjoyed so much.
