A Place to Grow: Building a Farm & Community Space for Uganda’s Orphaned Children

Thank you for being here!

We are raising funds for a very special project in Uganda — a multipurpose community space and small farm for abandoned and vulnerable children supported by Tenderhearts Children Initiative.

A Space with Heart — More Than Just a Building

This space will be so much more than bricks and mortar. It will be a place where children can find:

Safe shelter during rainy days for learning and activities

A kitchen and storage area to prepare and distribute nourishing food

A small farm to grow fruits, vegetables, and raise chickens — providing fresh food daily and teaching life skills

A loving community hub where children’s wellbeing comes first

Who This Is For

The children, aged 4 to 11, have no family left but rely on the care and dedication of Joshua Mbogoli and his Tenderheart team. Joshua was once a street child himself, and now, at 24, he’s devoted his life to creating a better future for these kids.

Why This Project Matters

By building this community space and farm, we aim to:

  • Reduce daily food costs by growing fresh produce and raising chickens locally

  • Teach children valuable hands-on skills in farming, cooking, and caring for animals

  • Create a safe, nurturing environment for learning and play, even on rainy days

  • Build long-term independence from external donations, empowering the community to thrive

This project is about dignity, empowerment, and hope — giving these children tools to shape their own futures with love and resilience.

Your Support Makes a Direct Impact

Every dollar you donate goes directly to Joshua and his team to:

  • Purchase building materials and pay local workers to construct the space

  • Buy seeds, tools, and chickens for the farm

  • Equip the kitchen and storage areas for food preparation and distribution

  • Provide ongoing care: food, clothing, medical supplies, and essentials

Current Needs & Costs

We are currently raising funds to furnish the classrooms and purchase equipment for the kitchen and the urban garden!

Classroom materials and furnishings goal = 700$
Kitchen furnishings goal = 400$
Sack gardening and small plot gardening supplies and infrastructure = 1000$

Trusted Partnership & Transparency

Tenderheart Children’s Initiative is officially registered, and we are committed to full transparency on all funds and purchases.

It is a joy to work with Joshua and to provide full transparency on all transactions. The funds raised here are delivered directly to Joshua, who coordinates purchasing and delivery of materials and resources on site in Buwofu.

We are currently working to register Tenderheart Children’s Initiative with the NGO Board in Uganda. This process can be slow, especially for those living in rural areas. Our primary focus remains on resource delivery while we navigate the registration process.

You can follow Joshua and his work on instagram - https://www.instagram.com/joshuambogoli/

Together, Let’s Build Hope & Growth for Buwofu’s Children

With your generosity, we can create a space that nourishes bodies, nurtures minds, and grows community — giving these children a foundation of love, learning, and sustainability.

Thank you for your kindness, your care, and your belief in their future.

With gratitude,
Becka - On behalf of
