When My Sister's House moved to Boardwalk Bowl six months ago, we were facing an existential crisis. We were fledgling, a small pool of volunteers and reeling from losing the space we poured so much into. Over the last few months, the heart of our mission has remained the same but the scale in which we are able to accomplish has grown immesurably. We have every single day booked to the end of the year, a fantastic pool of volunteers - many of whom haven't ever worked in events or concerts before, and the shows have only gotten better and better. Now, we venture toward the next steps.

At our mural unveiling on Monday, we announced officially that we are in the process of moving into our own independent space that is going to give us a huge opporunity to grow. The last six months at Boardwalk Bowl allowed for some incredible improvements and we are excited to implement all of them as we return to doing things more on our own terms. In the meantime, starting this Sunday, we will be moving all shows to a temporary location at Mood Lounge at 5649 E Colonial. We will be here for the next month or so while we finish up work and permits on the new space, more details to come on that soon. We are so excited to venture on to the next steps of this project and continue to be a permanent home for independent music and art here in Orlando and can't wait to see you there.
