The Dream: Safety, Sunshine, and Fresh Air.

We are the proud (and very busy!) guardians of 15 wonderful cats. For 12 of our residents, the "great outdoors" is off-limits due to chronic health issues and vulnerabilities. Currently, we have a free-standing catio that they absolutely adore, but there’s a catch: it isn’t attached to the house.

Because we have to manually carry each cat back and forth, only the ones who are comfortable being lifted and carried get to enjoy the breeze. This leaves many of our most sensitive cats stuck inside, looking through the glass.

Meet Snowy: One of our Inspirations.

Our sweet Snowy is a special soul. She is totally blind, and the world can sometimes feel small and confusing for her. However, when she is outside in the safety of a catio, she transforms.

She spends hours listening to the birds, feeling the wind on her fur, and smelling the garden flowers. It is vital for her mental health and sensory enrichment.

The Goal

We want to build a permanently attached catio to the gable wall of the house.

Total Independence: Cats can choose when to go out and when to come in.

Accessibility for All: Even the cats who are too shy or fragile to be carried can finally enjoy the fresh air.

Safety First: A secure, professional structure that protects them from predators and prevents them from wandering.

Weather-proof steel framing and cat-safe wire mesh.

A secure structure on gable wall of the house.

Interior "cat-scaping" (shelves, ramps, and sensory plants for Snowy).
