My name is Mercedes. On February 10th, I experienced every parent’s worst nightmare — I lost my baby during childbirth. He didn’t make it to full term, and my heart is completely shattered.

I was blessed with a few precious moments to hold his tiny hand and see his beautiful face. Those moments mean everything to me and will stay in my heart forever. No words can truly describe the pain of leaving the hospital without my baby.

As I try to navigate this unimaginable grief, I am also facing the unexpected financial strain of laying my baby to rest. I want to give him the peaceful and dignified goodbye he deserves, but I cannot do it alone.
