Rest
On March 26, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy, Andrès, into the world. He was born healthy and brought so much love and joy into our lives in such a short time.
About a week later, our world changed forever. We laid Andrès down for a nap, and when we went to check on him, he was unresponsive. We immediately called 911 and began CPR. When paramedics arrived, they worked tirelessly for about 20 minutes before they were able to restore his pulse.
Since that day, Andrès has been at Dayton Children’s Hospital undergoing extensive testing. While he does have brain activity, doctors have told us that the lack of oxygen caused severe brain damage. They believe he will never be able to breathe on his own or wake up.
We are now facing the most heartbreaking decision any parent could imagine—having to withdraw care and say goodbye to our sweet baby boy.
During this time, Daddy has not been able to work as we have stayed by Andrès side, and bills have quickly begun to pile up. On top of our grief, we are now struggling to find a way to afford funeral expenses and give Andrès the peaceful goodbye he deserves.
We are asking for any support you can give—whether it’s a donation, a share, or a prayer. Your kindness will help us lay our baby boy to rest with love and dignity.
Thank you for standing with our family during this incredibly difficult time.
