As I stirred from my evening nap, I answered the phone, and the news shook me to my core. Recalling the last time this happened, in May 2024, my brother found salvation and God entered his life. Unfortunately, today's call wasn't about a doctor's visit; it was God calling his son home, ending his suffering and freeing him from worldly pain, now watching over his loved ones.
God be with you, brother.
Steve passed from a heart attack after a day of everything seemingly being fine he fought his hardest to stay as long as he did. It was a shock on everyone in the family because Steve was young and and even though he had health problems we thought he had more time. We weren't able to save for his passing because we didn't expect it. He was hardworking and would give you the shirt on his back if you needed it. He had no savings and so with everything happening so abruptly we weren't able to have any extra funds for his passing. I'm the only one who can do anything for him the only family and I'm doing it alone. And it's hard I'm on disability so I have no extra funds other than my social security and all my money goes to bills. Anything helps even just a share.
R.I.P Steve O'Connell
Trying to get him cremated did not have his passing planned or anything set up for this.
