Hey, my name is Raheem and my buddy Reckless is unfortunately at the end of his life soon here. He has prostate disease and it’s been going on for 5 months now. As you might know, a disease like that in dogs is almost incurable and would take thousands to even treat him, and I don’t have that. I got him treated once for the UTI the prostate disease caused, but it was only a temporary fix and not even fixing the underlying issue.

My buddy Reckless is 14 years of age and he has lived a really great life up until this disease, and he is now suffering on a daily basis. I know I cannot fix his disease and I wouldn’t want to put him or myself through the mental strain of going to the vet, trying and trying to fix him when there’s very little chance and it’s super costly, requiring surgeries and more. I want to end his and my suffering before the disease fully takes over and just let him feel safe with me to get put down so that I can keep his ashes with me. This dog means more to me than some of you can imagine. I’ve always been a stay-to-myself type of guy, so when going through life, he’s really just done so much for me, and I wanna try my hardest to do him right as he leaves this earth. Anything helps. If I don’t reach my goal, I will use the money donated to surrender him to the state of California where they will put him down themselves without me present, and they will spread his ashes in the ocean so I won’t be able to keep him.
