Hi everyone,
My name is Ramona, and I never imagined I’d be writing something like this. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help with my dad’s cremation and final arrangements.
Yesterday morning, as I was already heading over to go visit him, I received heartbreaking news that changed my world. The family he lived with for over 28 years—people he had grown close to—went to check on him because he hadn’t come out for his usual morning coffee. He had been sick and getting worse, and when he didn’t respond to their knock, they opened his door and found that he had passed away peacefully in his sleep.
My dad was more than just a father—he was a deeply caring, giving soul. He helped anyone whose path he crossed, no questions asked, no matter who they were. If you needed a hand, a ride, a meal, or just someone to listen, he was there. He didn’t have much, but he gave everything he could. That’s simply who he was—someone who showed love through action, kindness, and generosity.
Losing him so suddenly has left us not only grieving, but unprepared for the financial burden of his final services. I want to honor him the way he lived—with dignity, love, and respect—but I can’t do it alone.
If you are able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean so much and help us give him the peaceful farewell he truly deserves. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page or keeping our family in your thoughts is just as appreciated.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for supporting us during this painful time. Your kindness would mean the world to my dad—because kindness is what he lived for.
—Ramona
Here is the obituary I wrote for the funeral home to post.
