Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out because it’s time to say goodbye to my best friend, Otto.

Otto has been my ride or die for 13 years. He has been through every single chapter of my life—the absolute best of times and the rock bottom. When I was living out of my car, Otto was right there in the seat next to me. He didn’t care about the circumstances; he just cared about us. He was my protector and the "man of the house" long before I even had a house to put him in.

He took care of me through years of illness, watching over me and keeping me safe. He was the anchor that held me steady while I rebuilt my life, and I’m so grateful he was here to see me get back on my feet and, most recently, get married.

Now, I need to take care of him one last time.

At 13 years old, Otto’s body has finally reached its limit. He’s tired, and the most loving thing I can do is let him rest. Because he spent so many years working and being my protector in stressful places, I refuse to let his final moments be in a vet’s office. He’s always been anxious there, and he deserves better than a cold exam table.

I am raising funds to bring a vet to our home so Otto can pass away peacefully in his favorite spot. I want his last breath to be taken in the home we built together, feeling nothing but love and safety.

The funds will cover:

• At-home euthanasia services

• Private cremation so he can stay with me, just like he has been for over a decade.

Paying it Forward

The goal is set to cover these final costs. However, if we are lucky enough to raise anything above what is needed for Otto's care, 100% of those extra funds will be donated to 4 Paws 4 a Cause, a service dog training program. I want Otto’s legacy of protection and loyalty to help another person find the same kind of life-changing companionship that I had with him.

Otto stayed by my side when I had nothing. If you can help me give him this final gift of comfort, it would mean the world to me.
