Update - I want to thank everyone so much for helping us this weekend. I am not raising the original goal, but anything past that will go towards treats and doggie meals this weekend for Millie and Munch, and an urn necklace so I can take my sweet lady wherever I go
Millie came into my life when I was nineteen years old. I drove a five-hour round trip to pick her up. She was the tiniest little thing you could imagine. Almost fifteen years have passed somehow, and now it’s time to say goodbye.
I have scheduled an at-home euthanasia appointment for Millie this upcoming Monday. It will be close to $800 total for the appointment and cremation. January is typically my slowest month at work, and I’m afraid it will be hard to come back from this before electric and rent is due, and to be honest it’s going to be hard for me to work at all. I considered burying her at my parents’ house to save the cremation fee but they are selling the house soon and leaving her there feels unbearable.
Thank you to everyone who has made Millie’s life so special, especially Jake who she loves as her daddy, maybe even more than she loves me. I’m sorry to anyone that’s sad if this is how you’re finding out, I don’t really want to talk about it more than I have to.
