My name is Sherina Jean, the eldest granddaughter of Alicia “Jinkee” Baula Manalo. Mama Jinkee sadly passed away on December 16, 2025, at 11:29 AM at Mountain View Hospital.

She was rushed to the hospital through the paramedics due to abdominal pain, vomiting, and being too weak to stand.

At the hospital, she was in the ER for hours until finally they did a CT scan, which showed she had a ruptured abdominal aneurysm. From there, everything went downhill. From needing more than 8+ bags of blood to having an emergency surgery, Mama fought till her last breath. After a 6-hour surgery (by 8:08 AM), she needed to fight for her recovery, but unfortunately, she didn’t make it.

With her passing, us grandchildren decided to set up this fundraiser to relieve any stress towards expenses so that we can raise funds to help put Mama Jinkee to rest. These funds will go towards her burial expenses, which include: Mama’s urn, viewing/Celebration of Life, death certificate, and any expenses to help fly her back to the Philippines to be laid to rest with her siblings.
