As some of you might know, Brian Melrose passed away yesterday. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. More than anyone could ever dream!!
Services time and location are yet to be determined. As as we get more information, we will send an update .
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Brian Melrose on Sunday evening, 02/15/2026.
Brian was the most amazing husband, father and grandfather anyone could ever dream of. He was a friend to many and never met a stranger.
Brian had been bravely battling heart failure, diabetes, and kidney failure. In recent weeks, his health declined rapidly. He went from the rehabilitation center to the hospital, and then to hospice care. With his heart functioning at 20% or less, there was little doctors could do beyond keeping him comfortable.
After much thought and courage, Brian made the decision to stop dialysis, surgeries, and antibiotics. He chose peace and comfort in hospice, and we honored his wishes. We were told he may have about a week, depending on how things progressed. He passed peacefully Sunday evening surrounded by love.
Because of Brian’s serious medical conditions, we were unable to secure life insurance coverage. As a result, we are now facing unexpected expenses for cremation, memorial service costs, and outstanding medical bills.
During this incredibly difficult time, we are humbly asking for help. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward Brian’s cremation, service expenses, and medical bills. If you are not able to give financially, your prayers, positive thoughts, and sharing this fundraiser with others mean just as much to us.
Brian meant so much to so many. We want to honor his life in a way that reflects the love he gave to others.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and compassion during this time.
With gratitude, Charlotte Melrose and family.
