A. Payne's Cousin: From Coma to Hope
Donation protected
Hello, family and friends my name is A. Payne. I truly appreciate you taking the time to read my story. I received a call that my cousin was rushed to the hospital and couldn’t breathe on her own on May 9, 2025 and was being taken to surgery. My first initial thought was “ Oh my God! What happened?”
I couldn’t make it to the hospital that night and it was really bothering me. I couldn’t sleep so I sat up in the bed bawling and praying for her and my family. That next morning I woke up, got dressed and headed to see my cousin. I was slightly nervous but knew I had to see her.
When I walked into the room she was laying there in a coma with tubes in her mouth. I walked over to the bed, put my hand on her head and began to pray, sing, and talk to her and tell her my expectations and God's expectations for her life and that she could not give up. My cousin has always been a fighter, go getter and to see this person I didn’t recognize was heart wrenching for me.
On the third day I talked to my aunt and she said “My cousin woke up.” I shared the news with my family and friends. And all I could say is “Thank you Father.” And in the midst of her waking up from a coma she was trying to thank the doctors and sharing her embarrassment with them that she passed out and had to be rushed to the hospital.
She worked from home full-time until she encountered a health crisis. The fourth day the tubes and oxygen were removed. When the hospital received my cousin on the stretcher they thought she would not make it because her brain function was at a zero.
EPHESIANS 3:20- “God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.”
We ask you to please donate if God places it on your heart to help my cousin and her children financially while she is trying to heal physically and mentally from this unfortunate crisis. If your unable to donate please consider sharing with your family and friends. We greatly appreciate it.
Thank you
