A Paver for Kris at Memorial Union
Donation protected
Two months have gone by but I know the impact of Kris's passing hasn't lessened. As I watched his Mets play the cross town rivals Yankees over the weekend, I was reminded of his love for sport and his sense of comradery. He loved UW and all of us who assembled there. All of us, who somehow, got together in South Central WI at the same time. From Witte A to the House to Mondays to parties and to Helen C White, UW seemed like the place to be in mid 1990s. (Notice how I omitted reference to any buildings where classes took place!) When Pig's Eye was fetched, Mario Cart was played and Falbo Bros pizza was eaten, the tomfoolery was boundless.
Kris managed to get some studies in. Some.
Back in May Steve came up with the idea of creating a "paver" for Kris. I think it's brilliant and would be a way for us to commemorate the bond we developed over 23 years ago. The Memorial Union is a place where we could put a palpable memory of Kris on campus.
Yo, let's do this. See you guys in Madison in the fall.
ITB,
Brett
