So many of us have faced the trials and tribulations that come with the fertility journey, where the only constant is that nothing is constant. Everything changes from one minute to the next, and happiness can be stripped from you just as quickly as you found it. One thing keeps most of us grounded through these hurdles is the fact that we have faced every set back, every triumph, every heartache and every heartbeat with others who faced them first, and know the road all too well themselves. Without this support system, none of us could survive this journey.
It is with that in mind that I’m writing this, asking for help for someone who is out there helping others. For those that know her, Ki Sha is a friend, a supporter, a cheerleader and an advocate for women everywhere. When auto injectors for PIO injections were difficult to get from Europe, she quickly became a state-side distributor for the company and made it easier for so many women to get them. She champions for women every day, and she would fight for any one of us to fulfill our dream to have a family without second thought.
In March of this year, Ki Sha and her husband suffered unimaginable loss when they lost not one but both of their twin babies just shy of 20 weeks. No mother should ever have to bury their baby, but to have to cremate 2 infants is just beyond words and a nightmare beyond understanding.
Like the warrior she is, Ki Sha picked up the pieces of her broken heart and continued to help women, myself included. She continues to advocate for better healthcare after her horrific experience and continues to do her part to make the dream of having a family one step closer for others.
Ki Sha has more embryos. She has more chances. What she doesn’t have is time, and $5500. She is 46. And they have to pay out of pocket for this frozen embryo transfer. Could you imagine nearing the end of your fertility timeline just to discover that $5500 is what kept you from bringing your baby home?
I kindly request that we all come together to support this incredible, generous, and wonderful woman in giving her the opportunity she deserves to bring her baby home. She would do it for any one of us. Every dollar, every share, every bit helps. On behalf of Ki Sha and her husband, I thank you ❤️
