'A Partner is for Life' Short Film

Greetings from Crew 7 Productions, where we're not just filmmakers, but professional coffee drinkers and occasional snack enthusiasts. We're a group of second-year film students at Bath Spa University embarking on an epic cinematic short film named 'A Partner is for Life.'

Right now, we're asking for your support in bringing just one scene of our masterpiece to life which we are filming this December, and the rest of the filming will follow in March 2024. Your generous donations will fund crucial elements like location hire, actor expenses, props, and costumes.

A PARTNER IS FOR LIFE - To love and to cherish until our contract's death do us part.

The 'Partner Foster Agency' is brought in by external companies, to match up employees with a mentor. Their role is to look after the company's members to keep up the morale of the business.

Jenny, 34, is part of the agency and her boss is called Herbie. The agency is employed by a banking company to keep up the company standards through the 'fostering' of its employees. Jenny lives with each client for 6 weeks only, and then the contract is up.

Story:

Our story follows Jenny's conflict between keeping the job that she loves, or pursuing the man she falls for.

Jenny fosters partners for a living, but a choice over her career and her personal life arises when a client turns out to be her soulmate. When Glen enters Jenny’s life, she’s accustomed to whirlwind romances that have a six-week shelf life. Her boss at the Partner Foster Agency, Herbie, picks Glen as a great match. So good, that their feelings for each other grow beyond the professional. After six weeks of gleeful chaos, Jenny promises to break her contract to pursue their future, but in the end, feels she cannot go through with it out of loyalty to her job. Their time is up, and the clocks have struck. Months later Herbie dissolves the agency and frees Jenny from her contract. But has Glen moved on, and it is well and truly: too late for love?
