A Christian Family in Pakistan Needs Our Help

In June, a swift and violent storm struck and destroyed the home of my cousin Khalid Gill and his family in a small, impoverished village near Sahiwal, Pakistan. Khalid, his wife, and six children were devastated when the storm wiped out their home. The storm left only one poorly constructed room with no plumbing, heating, or electricity for the entire family to share. It adds additional stress of not having privacy for his three young daughters.
Even before the destruction of their home, Khalid and his family barely scraped by on his scant bus driver salary of about $170 US dollars a month. Incredibly, in the face of such misfortune, this hard-working father still manages to support his family. His children do well in school, the family attends church every Sunday, and Khalid finds time to serve other hungry and needy families.
Although I have known Khalid for a while, I got to appreciate Khalid's character when he volunteered to help my family organize a food drive in Pakistan at the beginning of the pandemic. Together we raised $3,000, which fed one hundred Christian families for two months. I have seen his selfless generosity to others, and now it's time to help this deserving father.
My family and I are doing all we can to help the Gill family. Elementary education in Pakistan is not free, so my mother pays for the children's tuition, and I pay for their school bus and the family's phone bill. We also contribute in other areas such as birthdays, holidays, medical needs, etc. As much as we do, it is just not enough. With the destruction of their home, it will take our collective generosity and goodwill to get this family back on their feet.
I need your help to raise $15,000. This amount will enable us to rebuild the Gill's home with higher quality construction materials and provide some basic furniture for the family. This small sum will completely transform a beautiful family's life forever.
