A nurse with Crohn's needs your help

This GoFundMe is being organized for Ryan Crouch. Ryan has been a registered nurse for 15 years. As of August 2022, Ryan has been unable to work due to Crohn’s disease. In addition to Crohn’s disease, Ryan also has a seizure disorder and due to medications, he has developed tremors in his hands and arms. He also got Klebsiella pneumoniae, has had COVID-19 four times, and now has long Covid.

Ryan worked during the pandemic risking his life to care for others. Ryan thought he would be able to return to work however he is unable to due to the progression of his Crohn’s disease. This includes not being able to control his bowels at times. Ryan is now having financial difficulties and is asking for help. He has had two colonoscopies that cost $20,000 a piece and needs a third as well as an upper endoscopy. This will cost approximately $40,000. He was told that his last hospitalization in April would cost about $200,000.

During that hospitalization, he was informed that he needed to be tested for multiple sclerosis as soon as possible, and during his last appointment with his GI doctor, he was advised that he needed to be tested for Lupus as well. Last year his medications cost $15,000 for four of them and he is now on seven. Ryan does not have insurance and is unable to pay out of pocket.
