My name is Jesus, and I am Alexander’s friend.

Alexander is 35 years old and originally from Peru. On what seemed like a normal day, he was driving home from work on the highway when he suddenly felt dizzy and lost his vision. He managed to pull over safely, but moments later he began having convulsions. None of us had ever experienced something like this before. Alexander appeared to be a healthy person, so this came completely out of nowhere.

We immediately called an ambulance. Police arrived on the scene, and Alexander suffered a second seizure before being transported to the hospital. After several medical tests, doctors discovered a tumor in his brain.

The news was devastating. His wife was in shock and understandably overwhelmed. They have two young children, and at the time, they were in the process of applying for medical insurance, which unfortunately had not yet been approved.

Doctors ran multiple tests but could not identify a clear cause. There were no warning signs—just a sudden, life-changing diagnosis for a hardworking father and his family.

I am sharing this story because this is what a friend does when someone they care about is facing an unexpected crisis. Without medical insurance, the costs for diagnosis, treatment, and everything that lies ahead will be overwhelming, and any support or help can make a meaningful difference for him and his family.
