A Night That Changed Everything
Last night, Justin watched his entire world go up in flames.
In a matter of minutes, the home he built—filled with memories, comfort, and everything he owned—was reduced to ash. The fire took it all. His two beloved cats who couldn't escape. His saltwater aquarium, a labor of love He had spent years cultivating, with all its beautiful fish. Every photograph, every keepsake, every piece of furniture. Gone.
But he's still here.
By some miracle, he made it out with his life, his car, and his one-month-old puppy trembling in his arms. That tiny heartbeat against his chest reminded him that even in the darkest moments, there's still something worth holding onto. SO lucky that Justin's 2 young boys were not in the house. SO lucky he wasn't asleep.
Justins words:
I'm not going to pretend this is easy. I'm standing in borrowed clothes, trying to process a loss that feels impossible to measure. The grief for my cats and fish, losing almost everything is very overwhelming—they were family, and I couldn't save them all. Lucky to be alive and have family and friends support.
But I'm choosing gratitude. I'm alive. My puppy is alive. And now, I'm asking for help to rebuild.
What Your Support Means
Your donation will help me:
Secure temporary housing while I figure out next steps
Replace basic necessities—clothes, toiletries, essentials
Cover unexpected costs over the next few months as I get back on my feet
I never imagined I'd be the one asking for help. But sometimes life humbles us in ways we never expected. Every dollar, every share, every kind word means more than you know.
Thank you for being part of my journey back from the ashes.
Justin
