Hey everyone, I’m Maia (with the shaved head), and to my left is my beautiful, wonderful, lovely wife, Tina. Featured in the other photos are our two fur babies, Dottie Moo (Pitbull/Husky mix), who is one year old as of September 1st, and Tequila (Tuxedo), who is 9 years old.

I currently work at a day program for adults with special needs as a van driver and instructor. I absolutely love my job and the people I work with, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. It is a small business with few employees, so it does not offer PTO, sick leave, or any benefits.

Tina worked at The Trevor Project as a crisis counselor for 3 years until the current administration cut her job in July, but she just started at a new place as of December 1st. So far so good!

With all of that being said, we have been living off my income alone for the past 5 months, and bills have been extremely tight. We are highly fortunate to have made it this far on one income, mainly thanks to the generosity of our parents, but there is only so much they can give. We would be highly grateful for any support you are willing to offer. We just need to make it to December 18th when Tina receives her first paycheck.
