A Newborn for The Neubauers
My sister Lottie Neubauer and her husband, Karl have been married for 6 years. The Neubauers want nothing more than to have healthy children. They have been through an emotional roller coaster trying to expand their family. Lottie had to have both fallopian tubes surgically removed to save her life. Here is their story.
In 2016 Lottie and Karl were overjoyed when they found out they were pregnant and hoped to have a sweet little baby in the upcoming months. Sadly, Lottie developed abdominal pain and bleeding that sent her to the hospital. Her bleeding was so severe the health care team had to do an emergency surgery to open Lottie’s abdomen. The surgical team determined Lottie had an ectopic pregnancy and needed to remove one of her fallopian tubes to save her life. Lottie and Karl were devastated and left broken hearted with the loss of their baby.
After Lottie healed from the surgery they became hopeful and decided to try to conceive again. In May 2018 they gave birth to a healthy, beautiful boy! He is simply a miracle!
In 2020 the Neubauers decided to have another baby to complete their family. Unfortunately, Lottie ended up in the hospital with another ectopic pregnancy needing life saving surgery to remove her other fallopian tube because it was deemed too damaged to save. Due to COVID Karl wasn’t allowed in the hospital with Lottie leaving them both feeling helpless and scared. She had just lost another baby and her last opportunity to become pregnant naturally.
The only way they are able to get pregnant is to go through a procedure called IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). A process in which the egg is extracted, a sperm sample is retrieved then combined in a laboratory dish. The embryo is then transferred to the uterus. This process can be draining on so many levels- physically, emotionally and financially. IVF isn’t generally covered by insurance and is very costly. This is why I’m asking you to help support their family in creating life. The Neubauers could use your love, prayers and any donation you are willing to make. Building a family after tragedy shouldn’t be done alone. We thank you for all your love and support.
