Every year in June, Cofio Lounge hosts special events to raise funds and awareness for a cause close to our hearts. We call this Lounge Aid! This year, we’re proud to support Canolfan Elfed, an incredible, fully integrated inclusion centre, based in Queen Elizabeth High School.
Why have we chosen Canolfan Elfed?
Canolfan Elfed focuses on education, personal development, building essential physical and life skills for children with a range of disabilities. From specialised learning to emotional and social development, they really are an essential addition to our community in Carmarthen and our surrounding areas! For many families in our community, Canolfan Elfed is a space where their child can feel accepted… Where they know they are safe, supported and understood. How will your donation help?
Canolfan Elfed are currently looking to raise funds for the construction of an outdoor sensory learning area. Their current outdoor playground, was deemed unfit for purpose and falling short of safety standards, and has since been demolished. However the pupils of Canolfan Elfed have collaborated to craft their own vision of what they not only want, but deserve to have in their new outdoor learning area. They are aiming to raise £275,000, and we are hoping that with your help, our donation can get that ball rolling for them. Click the link below to hear a few words from some of the pupils:

Let’s rally our community together to give the pupils of Canolfan Elfed the playground they deserve! The profits from all the events listed will go towards our final donation:
Tuesday 27th May, 3:30-5pm - Cofio Lounge Kid’s Disco; Live DJ, face painting, party bags, buffet and drinks
