Help Me Get a Safe, Reliable Vehicle for My Family
Hi friends,
I’m reaching out with a lot of humility and hope as I try to take a big step forward for myself and my kids. Not everyone knows this, but the three of us are survivors of domestic violence, and the toll that’s taken on my physical and financial stability has been hard. We’re doing well and healing, but it’s been a long journey, and right now, I’m really struggling with cars.
Over the years, people have been so generous, even gifting me vehicles, which I’m so grateful for. But at this point, I need a car that I feel truly safe in. My current vehicle has really poor visibility and doesn’t handle well in the winter, which makes driving stressful, especially with the kids.
I also need a car that looks a little more professional. My career is starting to pick up, and I’ve been doing in-home appointments and events in places where presentation matters. It’s not just about appearances—it’s about having a vehicle that reflects where I’m headed and makes me feel confident showing up.
I know there are so many more important causes out there and people with greater needs than mine, which makes this incredibly difficult for me to ask for this. But I’m working hard to help others feel better and live better lives through my work, and I hope that by receiving this support, I can pay the generosity forward in everything I do.
Things are improving, but I’m still managing my own health challenges and helping Wrighte & Everette through this phase of healing. A dependable, safe car would lift such a weight off my shoulders and help me focus on what really matters—our well-being and the work I love.
I’m trying to raise $5,000–$10,000 to get a vehicle that aligns with what we need: something safe, reliable, and ready to support this next chapter for me and the kids. If you’re able to donate or even just share this, it would mean the world to us.
Thank you for all the love and support you’ve already given me—it’s carried us through so much. I’m so grateful for this community and for everything you’ve helped us overcome.
With so much love & gratitude
Emmy
