Life is hard and a lot of us are struggling especially around the holiday times. As some of you may already know, I had struggled with addiction most of my life but am blessed to say I have remained sober & ( October 2025) has made it a year I have worked effortlessly to get my life back on track by working meaningful jobs that give back to the community, keeping a strong support system, setting & reaching life goals, and allowing myself to stay strong minded even through the toughest obstacles in my life.

Recently, on November 28, I was in a head on collision car accident while on my way to my father’s for a family dinner. While in route, I noticed a car swerving all over the road. As I attempted to move over to allow the car to adjust itself, it continued head on and hit me going about 50 mph. Causing the car to flip over , and totaling my vehicle.

Lucky to be alive, I immediately crawled out of the passenger door and quickly noticed the severe injuries I had sustained to my face and body, while the driver did not seek medical attention. Thanks to first responders, I was rushed to receive medical attention, where I spent the night in 2 different hospitals due to the severity of my injuries. The driver was allegedly driving (without a license) under the influence of drugs and fell asleep at the wheel, when they hit me.

Trying to keep a positive attitude during a very difficult time is definitely not easy. But it has to be done as I have come so far!!! I am currently without a job now & no reliable transportation. On top of trying to heal from my injuries (bad concussion, swollen face & body, as well as possible loss of vision in my left eye), I was just told by my insurance that neither insurance company will cover the cost of my vehicle due to not having certain coverage, leaving me with absolutely nothing that I had worked so hard for.

I am now trying to get back on my feet to continue healing, getting back to work and having my own transportation to get there. I am putting my pride to the side and asking for help from anyone that is able to. I am trying to raise some money for a down payment on a reliable car so I can get back to a “normal life” & pick up the pieces from where I left off without back tracking.
