To Our Collabratory Family,

With a deeply heavy heart, I am writing to share that Collabratory will be temporarily closing its doors. This has been the most difficult decision I have ever had to make, but it is a necessary step to ensure the future Collab.

The past three years have been nothing short of extraordinary. When we opened Collabratory, our mission was clear: to bring Colorado’s artists and creatives together under one roof. Together, we have achieved that dream in ways that have far exceeded my expectations. It has been an honor to build this creative haven alongside you, and I am incredibly proud of the community we’ve fostered.

Collabratory has always been my heart and soul, a labor of love built through countless triumphs, challenges, and moments of pure magic. From building and maintenance struggles to personal and family hardships, I have poured every ounce of myself into keeping this dream alive. Our goal has always been to create an unparalleled environment for creativity, with the most talented and passionate staff and the highest quality experiences Colorado has to offer.

Unfortunately, despite all efforts, the financial and operational challenges of the past year have made it impossible to continue in our current state. While I’ve fought tirelessly to avoid this, the time has come to pause operations in order to recalibrate, secure funding, and ensure Collabratory’s future sustainability.

This is not goodbye—it’s a call to action. To reopen and continue serving this incredible community, we need your help. We are actively seeking financial support from those who believe in our vision and want to see Collabratory thrive. Whether it’s through donations, partnerships, or spreading the word, your support will make all the difference in bringing Collabratory back stronger than ever.

To everyone who has been part of this journey—our staff, our artists, and every single person who has walked through our doors—thank you from the depths of my heart. Your creativity, support, and belief in Collabratory have been the foundation of this space, and I am endlessly grateful.

This is only a pause, not an end. I truly believe that with the support of our community, we can overcome these challenges and continue to create magic together.

Since its beginning in 2018, Collabratory has been a beacon for artists, fostering innovation, community, and collaboration. Lairsmith's passion for uniting creatives led to the establishment of Collabratory, a dream realized through an inheritance left by her late grandfather. The original building, infused with memories and art, became the heart of this artistic haven.

However, life threw a curveball when Lairsmith's mother and partner Katrina faced a cancer diagnosis disrupting their vision and leaving Jasmine to grow and build the business. Despite challenges as a single female entrepreneur, Jasmine has been blessed with unwavering support. With hundreds of dancers in class weekly, bringing in some of the biggest choreographers from around the world, even having music legend Ciara stop by for a guest appearance!

Collabratory became a landmark in the artistic community but when multiple building issues arose she found herself looking for a new short term space. Following a move to The Warehaus in November, Collabratory continues to thrive, but Jasmine feels the essence of "our space" is diminished. Now, facing a critical juncture, she seeks a new home for Collabratory—a place where the magic of collaboration and community can flourish seven days a week.

We are inviting the community to contribute to Collabratory's future. Every donation, regardless of size, will be reinvested to expand and strengthen this artistic sanctuary. Sharing the story is equally impactful.

As Collabratory envisions a new space, plans include two dance studios, a stage for performances, productions and events, a photography studio, and a recording/podcast studio. The goal is to create an inclusive environment that fosters collaboration and connection for various artists.
