Hello everyone!

My name is Pietro, and together with my longtime friend, Reverend Godfred Bennet Turkson, we have embarked on a new mission: restoring a school so that the children of the Nagalkinia community in Navrongo, Ghana, can return to the classroom next September and continue their education in a safe and supportive environment

Whoever finds a friend finds a treasure. This is what happened to me when I met Godfred at University. In 2014, he came to Milan with the desire to get a Masters in International Business Management and he was successful! Once graduated he went back to his Village, Prestea, in Ghana but before he left I made him the promise to be always there for him.

In Ghana, he set up a Not for Profit Organization for helping families pay for their children’s studies and a cattle breeding farm to provide for his village in the long term.

His vocation to help others never stopped and led him to become a pastor in a nearby village. Since then, he has dedicated his life to serving the community through various social initiatives. Thanks to the kindness and support of people like you, we successfully built a clean water well for the village, bringing access to safe drinking water and hope for a better future

In September 2025, after being officially ordained and commissioned as a Reverend in the Methodist Church, he was assigned to serve the community of Navrongo in Ghana's Upper East Region, where nearly 60% of the population lives below the poverty line.

As a minister in Navrongo, Godfred is responsible for serving and overseeing seven churches, each with approximately 60 to 90 members. Drawing on his experience as a social worker in the NGO sector, combined with his strong belief in God's call to care for the marginalized, Godfred has developed a deep passion for addressing pressing social challenges.

As part of his ministry in rural communities, he seeks to identify a social problem that can be practically addressed and, together with his friend Pietro, mobilizes the resources needed to tackle it. Combining their expertise in project management, volunteer engagement, leadership, and fundraising, they work together to improve both the physical and spiritual well-being of vulnerable communities through meaningful social initiatives.

THE COLLAPSE OF BETHEL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL: A SAD CONSEQUENCE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

For over 14 years, Bethel International School was a source of hope for the children of Nagalkinia, Ghana, educating more than 8,000 students. After closing in 2022 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the school now stands abandoned. We are raising funds to restore the school and give hundreds of children the chance to return to education and build a better future.
