A New Hope for Sarah: Fund Her Service Dog

Hi my name is Sarah Kelley and I am asking for help to be able to raise money for a medical alert service dog that will help me get my independence back. In late 2023 I was diagnosed with POTS I went from being able to run track to barely being able to walk to a different room. In 2024 symptoms got worse and non-epileptic seizures started. I could no longer do the things that I enjoy, and everyday tasks like brushing my teeth or even trying to rest became a daily struggle with non-epileptic seizures interrupting days. I am grateful to God that He has covered me and has been with me. As God is hopefully pray-fully allowing for me to go to college next year, I am ready to take a bigger step to keep fighting these medical battles. A service dog will help me to be able to do things without other people always being near me.
A service dog will help me by:
- Detecting change in heart rate.
- Notifying me before I’m about to faint so that I can find a safe area.
- Being their for seizure alert especially when I don’t feel them coming.
- Assisting with mobility when my body has tremors.
- Providing companionship.
