My older brother Wayne Leslie’s house tragically burnt to the ground last month. Thankfully he was unharmed, but he lost all of his possessions in the fire including his clothes, furniture, housewares, and many priceless documents and mementos. The house, which Wayne purchased just two years ago in 2023 was the result of years of saving and sacrifice to establish a permanent home for himself and to pass something on to his daughter, Angela. Wayne has served his community for decades as an Air Force veteran, a substitute teacher and an employee in the LA County Benefits Office.
