Our son, Ethan, was born on November 17, 2010, with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). It is a rare and complex congenital heart defect where the left side of the heart was underdeveloped. This condition has required multiple open-heart surgeries and ongoing medical interventions since birth.

Recently, Ethan underwent a heart transplant, offering him a renewed chance at life. While this life-saving procedure brings hope, it also introduces significant challenges, including:

• Surgery and Hospitalization: The transplant involved a complex surgery followed by an extended hospital stay for recovery.

• Post-Transplant Care: Lifelong immunosuppressive medications and regular check-ups are essential to prevent organ rejection and monitor his health.
