A new computer for an old friend

Donation protected

A very good friend of mine, Chad McDaniel is a good man. He's a single father to a special needs child (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome). I wont get into his personal details too much as I am doing this as a secret as he is too humble/proud to do something like this himself (I didn't ask his permission to do this).

He has been raising Xander, his son (pictured on the right) alone since he was born, essentially as the mother picked back up on bad habits while she was pregnant and well into Xander's infancy. Around this same time Chad was in a terrible car accident that broke his neck and no longer allowed him to work his construction job, or any real manual labor after that as his back and neck are irreparably damaged. With Xander's needs, his living in his small home town on a tiny fixed income, and his medical issues he has zero extra money as it always all goes to Xander and his needs.

This is a good dude who has consistently ran into a hard time. He recently has wanted to learn to do frontend web development but has no real way to get it done. Let's raise enough money to get him a nice computer that will last him years to come so that he can start learning to code and can maybe start picking up side jobs that allow him to use his brain and not his broken body.

If we can reach a goal of $1,750 I will cover the remaining $250. Here's what he needs to build something that will last him a long time and get what he needs done:

Motherboard: $150
CPU: $500
Video Card: $700 (Needs to run multiple monitors or a single 4k monitor)
Memory: $200
Power Supply: $150
Monitor(s): $500

Once the funds are gathered I will build the computer by buying the parts from my local Denver Microcenter and deliver to him in person. I will capture the reveal on video and post for anyone who donated that wants to see a grown man cry.
